Game Description

Lotus Turbo Challenge 2 is a racing game on the Amiga platform, which was a sequel to the popular title "Lotus Esprit Turbo Challenge". The game immerses players in the world of intense and exciting car races on eight diverse tracks with varied terrain and weather conditions.

Players take on the role of a Lotus sports car driver, with the goal of winning races on picturesque tracks. We play from a third-person perspective, which adds realism and allows for better vehicle control. The tracks include urban streets, scenic beaches, mountains, and rural roads, and the variety of terrain and weather make each race a unique challenge. We will race in fog, rain, storm, and snow, and we won't lack beautiful and sunny weather as well.

Gameplay

You no longer race directly against other cars or on laps; instead, the races are timed, as you have a limited time to reach each checkpoint. Reaching each checkpoint extends your time, and any remaining time is converted into bonus points if you manage to finish the track.

The game offers several game modes, including single-player mode, where players compete against computer opponents, and competition mode, which allows for competition with friends on a split screen.

The game is maintained in great audiovisual quality for its time. Unfortunately, in the game, apart from the intro and menu, we won't hear any music, but the engine sounds and the entire car fit perfectly to fast races, and the graphics offer good visual quality.

Cars

You have two cars to choose from, which the game selects automatically for each level, hence the loss of the word 'Esprit' from the title. The original Lotus Esprit has been joined by the Lotus Elan convertible, which is slower but has better traction.
