Rainbow Islands online
Game description
Rainbow Islands is a charming arcade game, perhaps the most charming one ever to appear on the Amiga computer. The game is a sequel to Bubble Bobble and was developed and published by Taito in 1987 for arcades, and then fortunately released on the Amiga. In the game, you play as Bubby or Bobby, two boys who must climb to the top of the rainbow world to save their friends and defeat the malicious monster Baron Wind.
Gameplay
The gameplay involves climbing various platforms, shooting rainbows at enemies, and collecting fruits. Players must both avoid enemies and eliminate them to progress to the next levels. The player must hurry; if a level is taken too long, water starts flooding from the bottom of the screen.
In Rainbow Islands, there are seven islands (one for each color of the rainbow), each consisting of four stages with a powerful enemy at the end of each island. After defeating the boss, you receive a rainbow-colored crystal. Your character can create a rainbow using a button. It can be used as a weapon against enemies, as a "trap" to stop enemies, or as a ladder to help you reach higher areas more easily and quickly. It's difficult to use at first, but later becomes an intensely cool game mechanic we've never seen before.
Reaching the highest platform in a level finishes it, and you move on to the next one. After a series of completed levels on each island, you face a boss character, which is a gigantic and incredibly strong version of one of the enemies from previous levels.

Power-ups
While traversing the islands, we can find magical wings that allow us to double jump and slow descent. We can also find a fairy that spins around the hero and destroys enemies she touches.
Graphics and music
Visually, Rainbow Islands delights with colorful and charming graphics that attract players of all ages. The music is also a characteristic element of the game, and the musical theme "Over the Rainbow" is one of the most recognizable melodies in the history of video games.
