Game Description

The Great Giana Sisters is a classic platform game that has gained iconic status in the history of computer games. The game tells the adventures of two sisters, Giana and Maria, who are transported to the magical kingdom of Dreamland. Their goal is to find the golden diamonds and escape from this fantastic world full of dangers.

The main goal of the game is to go through 32 levels, fighting monsters, huge spiders, and many other creatures to find the magic diamond that will allow Giana to return to her world. Each level contains many dream crystals that give points when collected to achieve the highest score in the game.

The Great Giana Sisters supports alternating play for 2 players, with the second player controlling Maria. Enemies can be defeated by jumping on them or shooting them after obtaining the right power-ups. The game features various special items that affect the entire screen, such as a "clock" that stops all enemies on the screen, and "magic bombs" that kill all enemies.

Power-ups

• Ball - Allows destroying blocks with the head - equivalent to the mushroom from Mario.
• Lightning - Provides the ability to shoot projectiles.
• Double lightning - Allows deflecting shots.
• Strawberry - Provides the ability to shoot homing projectiles.
• Clock - Stops time, allowing to bypass some obstacles.
• Bomb - Removes all enemies on the screen.
• Drop - Allows passing through fire.
• Lollipop - Immediately gives 1 extra life.

All these power-ups can be obtained by hitting specific blocks. The first four power-ups are permanent, while the last four are temporary and can be activated by pressing the appropriate button. After collecting one of these last four power-ups, the previous one cannot be activated anymore.
