Game Description

Cadillacs and Dinosaurs is a classic side-scrolling beat 'em up game released as an arcade cabinet, based on the comic book "Xenozoic Tales" by Mark Schultz. The game offers an exciting adventure in a post-apocalyptic world full of dinosaurs, where players take on the roles of hunters, fighting for survival in a world full of dangers.

Plot

The game's plot is set in the 26th century, when a gang called the Black Marketeers begins hunting dinosaurs for an unknown purpose. Four heroes: mechanic and shaman Jack Tenrec, diplomat and explorer Hannah Dundee, friend and engineer Mustapha Cairo, and the mysterious Mess O'Bradovich, decide to join forces against the Black Marketeers.

Gameplay

Cadillacs and Dinosaurs offers intense brawler gameplay, where players traverse levels, fight enemies, use various attacks and weapons, and even use vehicles like cadillacs to overcome adversity. The game features elements of weapon collecting, point gathering, and skill acquisition, making the gameplay dynamic and thrilling.

The game offers four playable characters, each with their own strengths and weaknesses: Jack (balanced type), Hannah (skill type), Mustapha (speed type), and Mess (strength type). The titular dinosaurs appear as neutral characters, capable of attacking both player characters and enemies.

Players have access to several attacks. Each character has two special moves, including one that reduces the character's health upon contact with an enemy. When two or more players play together, they can execute a team attack. Players can also find and use various firearms, thrown weapons like stones and explosives, and melee weapons like clubs.
