Game Description

Mortal Kombat 3 Ultimate Arcade is an extension of the Mortal Kombat 3 game, which is part of the iconic "Mortal Kombat" fighting game series. The game was released as an extended version of "Mortal Kombat 3" and included missing warriors - Scorpion and Kitana, as well as new arenas and combos.

In addition to new characters, a 2 vs 2 combat system and an 8-player tournament were introduced.

Players take on the role of various warriors and compete in brutal one-on-one battles. Each character has their own set of special moves, combos, and fatalities, which are bloody and spectacular fight endings. The goal is to defeat the opponent in a life-and-death battle.

New Characters

UMK3 introduced nine new characters: Ermac, Jade, Kitana, Mileena, Reptile, and Scorpion, as well as two character variants: Classic Sub-Zero and Human Smoke. All characters from Mortal Kombat 3 are available in the arcade version and are portrayed by the same actors: Cyrax (Sal Divita), Liu Kang (Eddie Wong), Kabal (Richard Divizio), Kano (Richard Divizio), Kung Lao (Tony Marquez), Stryker (Michael O'Brien), Jax Briggs (John Parrish), Nightwolf (Sal Divita), Sektor (Sal Divita), Shang Tsung (John Turk), Sheeva (stop motion), Sindel (Lia Montelongo), Smoke (Sal Divita), Sonya Blade (Kerri Hoskins), and Sub-Zero (John Turk).

New Incarnations of Mortal Kombat 3 Ultimate

Mortal Kombat 3 Ultimate Arcade was very well received and is considered the culmination of the Mortal Kombat series. However, the remake on iOS and some other home versions were poorly received. The game is part of the Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection digital package, developed by Other Ocean Interactive and NetherRealm Studios and released by Warner Bros. Interactive on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 in 2012. The Arcade Kollection also includes the first Mortal Kombat and Mortal Kombat II.
