Game Description

Wild West C.O.W. Boys of Moo Mesa is an arcade skill game created by Konami, which debuted in arcade cabinets in 1992. The game transports players to the Wild West, but with unique elements where cows become heroes and defend the Wild West from bandits and other dangers.

Game Plot

The game's action takes place in the fictional world of Mesa, where cows acquire human characteristics and become C.O.W. Boys (Code of the West Boys). Players take on the roles of cow-like lawmen: Moo Montana, Cowlorado Kid, and Dakota Dude, who battle a whole host of animal criminals, as well as some rogues, including The Masked Bull.

Gameplay

Wild West C.O.W. Boys of Moo Mesa is a side-scrolling arcade game where players traverse various levels, defeat enemies, and collect power-ups to enhance their shots. The game also offers a two-player mode, allowing for cooperative enemy defeating and adventure on the Wild West. In contrast to Sunset Riders, the player has three life bar units, allowing the player to take three hits before losing a life.

The game's controls consist of an eight-directional joystick and two buttons for shooting and jumping. Pressing both buttons simultaneously will cause the player character to perform a stampede attack, turn in mid-jump, or use any equipped item, such as sticks of dynamite or a tomahawk.
