Game Description

Willow is an action-adventure game created by Capcom, based on the fantasy film "Willow" from 1988. The game transports players to a magical world, offering an exciting journey where they play as Willow Ufgood on his mission to protect the child Elora Danan from the forces of evil.

Game Plot

The game is set in a fantasy world, where players control Willow, who embarks on a perilous journey to save Elora's child from the witch Bavmorda. The player encounters various characters, explores different locations known from the movie, fights enemies, and solves puzzles to succeed in the mission. Later, Madmartigan joins Willow to fight the enemy, General Kael.

The evil queen Bavmorda is after the holy child of the lands, Elora Danan, with the intent of destroying her. Willow Ufgood has been chosen to protect Elora. Later, Madmartigan joins Willow to fight the enemy, General Kael. Bavmorda is the ultimate antagonist whom they face.

Gameplay

The game offers two playable characters: the young, peaceful sorcerer Willow Ufgood and the brave warrior Madmartigan. Willow has a magical ranged attack, while Madmartigan is a melee character who can only fight at short range with his sword. Each character can purchase attack upgrades in shops. Madmartigan's upgrades give him greater power and range, while Willow's upgrades are much more versatile. Madmartigan's attacks have a shorter range than Willow's, but he can destroy enemy projectiles.

The game consists of six stages, some played as Willow, others as Madmartigan, and on one of the stages, you can choose any character. The stages are Crossroad, Cherlindrea's Forest, Fin Raziel's Island, Sorsha's Camp, Tir Asleen Castle, and Nockmaar Castle. Each stage must be completed within a certain time. Defeated enemies drop coins that the player can collect to buy items in shops (time also passes in the shop).
