Game Description
Crash Bandicoot 2: N-Tranced is a platform game released for the GBA in 2003. The game was developed by Vicarious Visions and is part of the popular Crash Bandicoot series. N-Tranced continues the adventures of the well-known Crash, offering fresh challenges, colorful graphics, and action typical of the series. It is a continuation of the game Crash Bandicoot: The Huge Adventure.
Plot
The action of Crash Bandicoot 2: N-Tranced begins after the events of the previous installment. Dr. N. Tropy and his malicious henchman, N. Trance, have kidnapped Coco Bandicoot and several other characters. Crash's goal is to rescue his sister and friends by overcoming various levels, including diverse locations full of puzzles and enemies. The plot combines a humorous tone with an adventure narrative typical of the Crash Bandicoot series.
Gameplay
N-Tranced maintains the classic platform formula, where players traverse levels, collect wumpa fruits, avoid obstacles, and defeat enemies. The game offers a variety of levels, from tropical islands to intricate mazes. However, one of the most characteristic elements is Crash's ability to use the "spin attack," allowing him to defeat enemies and break crates.
Most of the game takes place in a dimensional bubble where Crash and his mentor Aku Aku are trapped. Inside the bubble is a map with portals to different levels. Connecting portals with dotted lines, which Crash can use to travel between portals, are initially invisible. The goal of each level is to find and collect hidden crystals and gems in the area. The more crystals recovered from the levels, the more dotted lines become visible on the map, allowing further exploration. Crash Bandicoot 2: N-Tranced offers diverse levels, from traditional platforming to levels where Crash must ride a wakeboard and escape from a shark.
During gameplay, players also have the opportunity to visit special levels where they control Coco, as well as to battle powerful bosses. The game offers skill-based elements, puzzles, and secrets to discover, making it a satisfying challenge for platformer fans.
