Pokemon Ultra Violet Version GBA

Game Description

Pokemon Ultra Violet Version is a hack of the Pokemon Fire Red Version game for GameBoy Advance. This new game has been changed in many aspects to be more enjoyable, but it still has the same overall design and storyline as the original release. Among many other improvements, it has been modified so that 1 player with 1 game save can go through the entire game and catch ALL Pokemon from the first 3 generations. The title screen has also been changed.

Catch Your First Pokemon Yourself!

If at the beginning of the game you refuse Professor Oak to choose a Pokemon from his standard three, he will suggest you catch one on your own. You will receive a Pokeball for rare Pokemon and set off with the professor to a special area. Note that if you catch one, you won't choose any other.

A Pokemon Adventure

In Pokemon Pokemon Ultra Violet, you can catch all Pokemon from the Fire Red and Leaf Green games, which are from the first generation. All of them are located in the same areas as usual. For example: on Route 24 in Fire Red you can find Oddish, but in Leaf Green you will find Bellsprout... in Ultra Violet you can find both Oddish and Bellsprout.

There are 2 cases where you have a choice between 2 Pokemon. In Mt. Moon you choose between Kabuto and Omanyte (by choosing a fossil), and in Saffron you choose either Hitmonlee or Hitmonchan after defeating the karate master. In Pokemon Ultra Violet, you can take BOTH fossils and BOTH battling Pokemon. This way, there's no random location with these rare Pokemon. It would be silly to find extinct Pokemon resting on Route 14, right? The three starter Pokemon can be caught in different areas of the game. Professor Oak was a true adventurer in his youth.

Pokemon Evolution for Everyone

You no longer need to trade Pokemon and items with others to evolve all available ones. This is possible during normal single-player gameplay. This also applies to Eevee and its nocturnal/diurnal evolution. Fire Red version doesn't have a clock, so Umbreon and Espeon were impossible to obtain... now we can catch them normally.

For a few other Pokemon from Gen 2, which couldn't originally be obtained in Fire Red or Leaf Green, all of them have been added to the Sevii Islands. All of these (plus some), which belonged to the Altering Cave, are there, and the rest appear on the islands. Getting Ho-Oh and Lugia and Deoxys is now possible without participating in a Nintendo event. You can travel to the last 2 islands and catch them as if you were participating in an event, you simply buy a ticket at the store and sail by boat.

The last Pokemon to add are the 3 mythical dogs; Raikou, Entei, and Suicune. In Fire Red or Leaf Green, one dog is possible to catch based on your choice of Pokemon at the beginning of the game. This dog is then generated in Kanto and you must find and catch it... What about the other 2? You can't obtain them in Fire Red or Leaf Green without trading. New locations had to be introduced, with new events that allowed players to catch the remaining 2 dogs. So if you search hard enough in Kanto, you can find the other 2 dogs. Depending on the chosen starting Pokemon, you can find any of the 3 in both locations. Charmander has Suicune roaming around Kanto, Raikou in location 1, and Entei in location 2. Bulbasaur has Entei roaming around Kanto, Suicune in location 1, and Raikou in location 2. Squirtle has Raikou roaming around Kanto, Entei in location 1, and Suicune in location 2.

Sun Stone

There are minor text changes in the game to fit the new Pokemon or events. For example, in Fire Red and Leaf Green there are no Sun Stones allowing the evolution of the Sunkern Pokemon. You can simply buy a Sun Stone at the Pokemart :)
