Dr. Mario is a popular puzzle game released by Nintendo in 1990 for the NES console. In the game, players take on the role of Dr. Mario, who is tasked with eliminating colored viruses by arranging capsules with matching colors.

Gameplay

In Dr. Mario, the player's task is to eliminate viruses by arranging capsules with colors corresponding to the viruses - blue, yellow, and red. Our battlefield is the interior of a bottle into which the brave Dr. Mario throws two-colored pills. Capsules fall from the top of the board, and the player must skillfully manipulate them to create vertical or horizontal lines consisting of three or more elements of the same color, which causes their removal. The more capsules and viruses eliminated at once, the more points the player earns. The game mechanics resemble a bit the popular Tetris. The level of difficulty and the speed of falling affect the number of points earned; the harder it is, the more points we will get for each eliminated virus. We lose if we "clog" the bottle.

The two-player mode allows friends to compete in arranging capsules and eliminating viruses. The game offers various difficulty levels, allowing both beginners and advanced players to enjoy the challenge.

Graphics and sound
