Game Description

Mario Mania is a very enjoyable Super Mario World hack. It features several new power-ups and pleasant levels such as a beach with sand castles and angry crabs, a sea, a land of clouds with rain and storms, deserts with coconut palms, and even a volcanic island or a cemetery.

Plot

Mario is strolling peacefully when he encounters Iggy Koopa, who plans to kidnap Princess Peach, his teacher (reference to the episode "A Little Learning" from the Super Mario World cartoon). Aware of Koopaling's evil intentions, Mario tries to stop him.

The story is told through cutscenes.

The story is a bit different but still in the spirit of the Mario series: kidnapped princesses and evil koopas.

Levels

The levels are linear, one after the other. The hack does not have an overworld because the author is not yet ready to work on it. The duration and difficulty of the levels vary. Some are longer, some shorter, some are harder, some easier.

During traversing the levels, we can find hints from the hack's author.
