Game Description

Double Dragon II: The Revenge is the second installment of the popular beat 'em up series Double Dragon. The game was released by Technos Japan in 1988 for the NES platform. As the Lee brothers, players will have to face the forces of the Shadow Warriors and avenge Billy's girlfriend - Marian.

Gameplay Mechanics

In Double Dragon II: The Revenge, players can choose between two heroes: Billy Lee and his brother Jimmy. Embarking on a revenge mission for the death of their beloved Marian, who was murdered at the very beginning of the game, they will have to defeat hordes of enemies on different stages to reach the final boss.

The gameplay consists of successive levels where players will have to fight enemies with various skills. During combat, various punches, kicks, throws, and special attacks can be used. Additionally, various items such as sticks, knives, or brass knuckles can be found on the stages and used as weapons.

Double Dragon II: The Revenge offers both single-player mode, where the player controls one of the heroes, and two-player mode, where players can team up to defeat enemies and cooperate in battle.

The game features nine stages and three difficulty levels; only by selecting the hardest level can the player access all nine stages and see the true ending.
