Game Description

Magical Kids Doropie, also known in the West as "The Krion Conquest", is a platform-action game for the NES featuring the adventures of a young witch, characterized by colorful graphics and challenging levels. The game is very similar to Mega Man.

Plot

The game's plot is set in the futuristic year of 1999, when the Krion Empire (Akudama) attacks Earth with an army of robots, and the only effective means against them is magic. Doropie, a hired witch, sets out to stop them.

Gameplay

In the game, the player controls the witch character Doropie (known as Francesca outside of Japan), who uses magical abilities (all available from the start of the game), selectable through a submenu. Doropie must defeat the enemy robot invaders across four levels.

Magical Kids Doropie is similar to the Mega Man series created by Capcom, with cutscenes reminiscent of those from the NES version of Ninja Gaiden created by Tecmo. Doropie can shoot various objects depending on the selected wand type. Doropie's suit color also changes when a different wand type is selected. The powers include a normal shot (red suit), phoenix power (pink suit), freezing shot (blue suit), wall-bouncing shot (green suit), shield ability (orange suit), and broomstick flight ability (purple suit).
