Game description

The Lone Ranger is an adventure game based on the popular cowboy character known from movies, comics, and TV series. You play as the Lone Ranger himself, and your task is to protect the Wild West from bandits and criminals. The game combines many genres and utilizes the Zapper pistol.

Plot

The action of The Lone Ranger takes place in 1880. The player takes on the role of The Lone Ranger, a former Texas Ranger whose companions were murdered by a criminal named Butch Cavendish. Among the fallen comrades is the main character's brother. The main goal of the game is to rescue the President of the USA from the hands of Butch Cavendish and his gang. During the adventure in the Wild West, we are accompanied by an Indian named Tonto - who gives us advice. He tells us where to go and explains what we need to do to move forward.

The gameplay in The Lone Ranger mainly focuses on shooting enemies and eliminating criminals who try to wreak havoc in the Wild West. The player has a six-shooter revolver at their disposal, and in stores, they can buy better, silver ammunition.

The game area consists of eight areas, in which the player must accomplish various objectives before moving on to the next one. Each area starts with a large bird's-eye view map on which Tonto gives the player advice on where to go. On the map, the player can go to various towns, buildings, caves, mountains, bridges, and other locations, and also encounter roaming gangs of criminals who will attack the Ranger.

Bounty hunter

A large part of the game will be spent with a camera placed above the character and we will shoot bandits from which money falls out - we can use it during visits to towns. We will also move with a first-person view in some locations, the game then resembles old dungeon crawlers in mechanics.

Towns

We will visit towns where we can talk to people to move the story forward or listen to local gossip. In towns, there are shops where we can buy standard ammunition, upgraded ammunition, TNT, and upgrade weapons. You can also play cards for money.

Platformer elements

In The Lone Ranger game, we also have platforming sections, where we observe the action from the side. We jump on platforms, avoid traps, shoot bandits, and even ride horses!
