Game Description

Asterix & Obelix is a platform game based on the popular French comic book series about the adventures of two fearless Gauls. Players take on the roles of Asterix or Obelix, who must defeat Roman soldiers to save their village from Caesar. The game is characterized by a humorous style, colorful graphics, and levels inspired by the comic book.

Gameplay

In Asterix & Obelix, players traverse various levels, battling Roman legions, collecting items, and solving puzzles. Each of the main characters has their own unique abilities; Asterix is more agile, while Obelix is stronger. Players must utilize these skills to defeat enemies and progress through challenging levels. The game includes a two-player mode where players traverse levels together. Asterix and Obelix can jump, run, and attack enemies, who are mostly Romans.

Levels

The game's levels are based on the comics "Asterix in Britain", "Asterix in Switzerland", "Asterix at the Olympic Games", "Asterix and Cleopatra", and "Asterix in Spain". The fourth mission in the Game Boy Advance version is based on "Asterix and the Black Gold" instead of "Asterix and Cleopatra".

The game begins with the exploration of the village by Asterix or Obelix, then they pass through the forest and cross the sea to reach Britain. The game's action takes place in several countries, including Britain, Helvetia, Greece, Egypt, and Spain.
