Game Description

Joe & Mac 2: Lost in the Tropics is a sequel to the popular platformer game "Joe & Mac." Titular pair of heroes, Joe and Mac, are two prehistoric warriors who set out on an adventure to save their beloved from the clutches of a cruel Neanderthal tribe leader.

Gameplay

The game is a classic platformer where players traverse various levels, battling prehistoric monsters and solving puzzles to save their girlfriends. Players can choose one of two heroes, Joe or Mac, and traverse different levels such as valleys, jungles, snowy mountains, swamps, or volcanoes. During the game, players can collect stones, which are the in-game currency, and earn the hearts of their girlfriends. The game also offers a map where players can choose levels similar to role-playing games.

Bosses

The game features several powerful bosses, such as Stegosaurus, Pteranodon, Triceratops, Elasmosaurus, and Tyrannosaurus. After defeating each of them, the player receives one of the seven rainbow stones.

Remake

Joe & Mac 2: Lost in the Tropics has been re-released multiple times since its original launch. In 2017, Retro-Bit released a compilation titled Data East Joe & Mac: Ultimate Caveman Collection for the SNES console, which includes the SNES version of Joe & Mac as well as Congo's Caper.
