Game Description

U.N. Squadron, known as "Area 88" in Japan, is a 2D shooter that immerses players in the world of military aviation. The game is based on the Japanese comic and anime of the same title. Players take on the role of mercenary pilots who face dangers in the sky and air, battling enemies and collecting points for shooting down enemy aircraft.

Gameplay

U.N. Squadron offers dynamic gameplay where the player can choose one of three pilots: Shin Kazama, Mickey Simon, or Greg Gates, each with unique abilities. Players can also choose between different types of aircraft, each with its own characteristics and weaponry. The cooperative mode allows two players to join forces and defeat enemies together, adding a strategic element to the gameplay. The game focuses on missions involving the elimination of enemy air and ground forces. As the gameplay progresses, the player earns points that can be used for upgrades and purchasing new aircraft. All pilots start with a $3000 account balance and a basic F8 Crusader aircraft, and they can buy other aircraft and weapons as they progress. The game stands out from similar ones in that our aircraft has its own health bar - we don't perish after a single hit.
